A friend asked me recently if I knew anything about tropical mocktails, and I answered, “say no more I have the recipe for you.”

Of course trust me to run here and drop the recipe because, why not!

If you haven’t checked out my introduction to the mocktail series post, Kindly check it out before completing this post. This is so that you would have a sense of awareness on what mocktails are about and why people make a fuss over them fam.

So tropical mocktail, what’s the deal?

About Tropical Mocktails

These refreshing drinks are usually called “tropical mocktails” because they are made from the mash up of fruits grown in tropical and subtropical areas with well drained soil such as, Oranges, pineapple, lemon, bananas, and water melon amongst others.

They are uber nutritious and so refreshing especially when taken cold.  Today illd be sharing one of my favourite tropical mocktail recipes of all time, let’s just call this one the TSJ special. Find the ingredient list and know how below guys.

For this recipe you would need

  • 100g of diced water melon (remove seeds)
  • 100g of diced (sweet) pineapples
  • one full Lemon
  • Two Oranges
  • Half of one ginger
  • 4 diced strawberries
  • 2 blueberries
  • Ice cubes

You would also need

  • A juicing machine (This honestly makes life easy, however, if not  available,  you could get individual fruit squeezers)
  • A muddler
  • A mocktail shaker
  • A sieve/ mesh

Instructions

  1. Start by getting your diced water melon, diced pineapples, de skinned lemon, oranges and ginger into the juicer if available. If not available, proceed with your manual juicers (though this would be more tedious and time consuming)
  2. pour your juice extract into a big jug
  3. Add in your diced strawberries and blue berries, and use your muddler to crush and release the flavour of the fruits
  4. Go the extra step of sieving out any fruit particle, and transfer to a clean jug
  5. Use your mock tail shaker to mix your juice well and prepare for serving
  6. In any glass cup of your choice, put in a few ice cubes and pour in your tropical delight

Enjoy!
