Easy Hair care routine for the Busy Bees.

Hey y’all! I have a very valid question to ask today.

How has your hair care journey been going?

If you are shamefully hiding your face in response to my question, then hide no more! I have been there too.

Sometimes, life happens and it becomes almost impossible to keep up with hair care duties. In such situations, we could say that the heart is willing but the time, and physical energy to put in the work is seriously lacking. I am not here to play the blame game or shout about how you need to abandon it all to focus on your hair lol! Instead, I hope to give you some respite and introduce you to my lazy girl routine for those months you are swamped with loads of work and very little time.

So here is the thing, on a regular month when I have the luxury of time to do a full work, TLC (tender loving care) routine for my curls, I go all out. You can check out my luxury monthly care routine via the link below

So, for the busy months, do you know that you could actually do the bearest minimum for lack of optimum time but still keep your hair growth/ length retention dreams alive? Half bread they say, is better than nothing at all. Permit me to let you in on this easy and realistic routine for the busy days.

A busy bee’s routine

First things first, we need to establish that a monthly hair wash/scalp cleansing  is very essential to the health of your scalp/hair strands. This once a month cleansing is non negotiable, especially if you are a low porosity baby girl with occasional massive build ups. Those build ups could potentially hinder your scalp’s absorption of the right products and hinder hair progress.

The high and normal porosity babes could still afford to stretch wash day just a tiny bit further, but anything after 6-8 weeks without a proper hair wash (Shampoo and deep conditioning treatment) is cause for concern.

Now that this has been established, I would also love to mention that hair maintenance is a thing! This is where the busy bee routine would surely come in handy

So for this routine, we are basically interested in keeping your hair alive and moisturized with nourishing hair products on the go, regardless of whatever protective style you might have on.

Please keep in mind, that it is always advisable to put in protective styles that give you at least 60-100percent access to your scalp to render this routine feasible. Hair styles such as, Knotless braids, crotchet, two strand twists, cornrows, glueless wigs and  flat twists are usually great options. I would strongly advise you to stay away from Sew- ins as they barely give any scalp access.

Now that scalp access has been established you would need to assemble your hair care products and an efficient spray bottle  to effectively execute the LOC/LCO regimen on the go

LCO is an acronym which simply stands for Liquid, cream and oil products that are intended to nourish your crown. Your product choices are definitely up to you, just key into those products you have discovered work great for your hair strands.

What you would then do is pour in your products in any order with enough liquid/water to ensure that your hair is hydrated, nourished and moisture sealed each time you spray your strands with this hair care mixture.

It is as simple as this guys, spraying your hair care mixture doesn’t take more than a minute or two, but the benefits are long lasting! This spray could be used every 2-4 days or when you notice scalp/hair dryness.

This way you are assured that your hair isn’t being neglected and you could look forward to growth and length retention even with your busy schedule. After all, one well know secret to hair growth is letting it be and reducing manipulation.

I hope one gorgeous busy bee out there finds this post and keys into the benefit of the busy bee hair care regimen.
