INTRO
While in Medschool, there was this Zobo drink that was usually sold by one of the nurses at the Labour ward’s nursing station. The drink was so nice that it caused commotion everytime it was unavailable.
Before my obstetric posting, Zobo had been foreign to me, infact, it was almost nonexistent. The very first time I tried Zobo, it was a sorry apology! My people, I felt like I was drinking liquid medications, it tasted that bad. I was scarred until I discovered that not all zobos taste horrible. Zobo’s taste depends on the recipe used.
Therefore, to save you my dear friends from the taste bud torture that comes with a terribly made Zobo, I have decided to share this Zobo recipe with y’all. Trust me , it’s the only one you need. But first, a brief history.
HISTORY OF ZOBO
Zobo, also known as hibiscus tea, originates from the northern part of Nigeria. It has steadily become a local/international sensation served even at parties. It is made from leaves of a certain plant known as Roselle (Hibiscus sabdariffa) with amazing health benefits such as
