DEWUNMI’s apartment
AT RISE: DEWUNMI opens the door in response to the bell.
LOVELYN
Good morning! I and Dad decided to make some neighborly pancakes this morning. Didn’t we dad?
(nudges her Dad)
DEWUNMI
(Surprised)
Wow! Dr BANJO is your dad, small world isn’t it?
TIMILEYIN
Hello WUNMI it is a pleasure seeing you at this side of town, It’s been a while.
DEWUNMI
Yes, it’s been approximately six years since you disappeared
TIMILEYIN
I only relocated I didn’t disappear

He mentioned the detail about you being his adorable little princess and how mischievous you could get sometimes but he loves you more than anything or anyone in the world.

Please can LOVELYN stay over at your place this night?
I am working tonight and she insists on staying at yours’ this time instead of grandmas’

Would you like some cereal for breakfast?
LOVELYN
No
I would wait for dad before having breakfast
(Doorbell rings)

I think he is back

Well I won’t exactly call it a stress-free night
(LOVELYN rushes to hug her dad)

Good morning Dad, You look exhausted!

Someone is up quite early today!
LOVELYN
I had a very lovely day yesterday
We ate at a really cool restaurant and watched some movies when we got back, I had so much fun
DEWUNMI

She actually cancelled her date yesterday so she could stay with me
