You’ll find them almost anywhere, we are talking from fancy restaurants to bar clubs. There are now an array of mixologists who are constantly coming up with better and exciting new mash ups.

About Long island iced tea
The alcoholic version of this recipe has been a club favourite for a long time, with varying recipes that are all built strongly on the foundation of mixtures involving alcohol / spirits, cola and lime/lemon. This drink though appealing to the taste buds, has been noted to be notorious and responsible for getting people drunk, especially those with very little self control. Thankfully, the dupe has come to save the day and reduce the alcholism. The Long island iced tea is usually best served with the high ball drinking glass.
Let me share with y’all my perfect non alcoholic Long Island iced tea recipe.
Ingredients/Steps
- 15 teaspoons of English Breakfast loose leaf { any would suffice}
- 50 ml of apple cider vinegar
- 500 ml ginger beer
- 1 freshly squeezed lemon, juice
- 1 sliced lemon to garnish
- Sprigs of fresh mint
- Some Ice
- 50 mls of Coca cola
Instructions
- Get a jug ready to infuse your tea, most preferably a big jug, say a 2L jug. Infuse your tea for about 5 mins.
- Get your other ingredients together, pour into your jug and mix well.
- Serve nicely in smaller quantities in your glass {preferably a high ball glass cup}
- Use your cut out lemon slice to garnish
