My Top 30 Gospel songs of all time (foreign edition) 1

Let me tell you a secret many don’t know……….Gospel music never gets old!

I didn’t realize this until recent times.

See, I could be quite picky about music, but I do not discriminate any genre.

Like I have mentioned before, if the song has a nice rhythm, isn’t full of curse words or negative confessions and doesn’t praise the devil, then count me in.

On my phone library, I occasionally make a number of playlists.  There are the gospel playlists, and playlists made from non – gospel music.

One thing I realized recently is that I grow tired of some songs on my non gospel playlists quite easily.

After the songs have “reigned” some of them become boring to my ears and I eventually take them out. Whereas every gospel song that has struck a chord and made it to my playlist never gets stale to me. They are infact, ever green!

Today, I would love to share my Top 30 gospel songs of all times with you and the reason behind my love for them.

Let’s go

30. Intentional by Travis Greene

This song has been one of my jams for a while! The confession in the song alone is music to my soul.

Beautifully sung by Travis Greene, it is a reassuring piece that gets you confessing how intentional God is in your life and his inability to fail us.

29. So will I by Hillsong Worship

This song is calming! Each time I listen to it, I appreciate God even more! The lyrics of the song sights examples of all the marvelous things of Nature God made………..if creation sings his praises, who are we not to. It is indeed a powerful and lyrically sound melody.

28.Move your heart by Maverick City music

Move your heart is a slow-paced rhythm that speaks about freely giving it all to our amazing father. I mean what would it take to move his heart? Is it a fragrance, is it a life laid down?  is it a song I sing? Just tell me what moves you Lord, and I am ready to give it all.

Beautiful, beautiful song!

27. When we pray by Tauren wells

“What if we could be a people on our knees as one before the King because we believe” This song emphasizes the power of prayer! Hallelujah somebody!

You know, it is as fulfilling to pray for self as it is to pray for others. It does mighty wonders! Nothing stays the same when we pray, especially where 2 or more are gathered.

Ps: Let me just say that I love Tauren well songs they are so many on this list Fam, get ready!

26. Gold by Britt Nicole

This is one feel good song that was my ringtone for years! Can I just say that Britt has a beautiful voice. This song reassures us of being treasures in the sight of our Loving father.

Doesn’t go without saying that we should ignore anything or anyone that says otherwise, and though we are diamonds in the rough, we are loved and worth so much to him who made us.

25. Another in the fire by Hillsong United.

This song is special to me because I heard it for the first time on my brother’s phone, this was shortly after God averted a huge home accident back in 2020. It just really was the song for the occasion.
It says that God has always been there, he is the “another” that has always helped us through every of life’s challenges, and it is very important never to forget this.

24. My worship by Phil Thompson

“I will not be silent, I would always worship you!” Who best to worship your Heavenly Father than you? No one else can worship him for me so I would gladly do it myself, that is the message of this magnificent song.

23. Won’t let go

Get me, there is always a worship song that resonates with every life season, trust me you need one. “Won’t let go” was my pregnancy song! Hilarious enough, it was the song that succeeded in calming my new born each time he got cranky because he had heard it so much in the womb.
The title says it all, God is that father that won’t let go, even when we his children are ready to give up.

22. He is able by Darwin Hobbs

This is another Life seasonal song. When I had to resist two papers in my final medical school year, this was my jam. It simply says that God is able to do just what he says he would, he is a promise keeper, period!

21. Promises by Maverick city music feat Joe L Barnes and Naomi raine.

Talking about keeping promises, this is one song that highlights the kind of God we serve, a Convenant and promise keeping father.
Though the storms may come and the winds may blow illd remain steadfast because I know that God would come through with fulfilling his promises regardless.

20. I need you by Donnie mckurlkin

Where would I go without your hands holding me? How would live without you, I just can’t fathom. Fam! Any human that decides to go through life on his own without God’s guidance is in for disaster, trust me on this one. I need him, you need him, we all need him.

19. Todd dulaney- pulling me through

This is another song I heard courtesy of my brother and it stuck like glue!  God keeps pulling me through every of life’s challenges and for this I remain grateful.

18. Good good father by Chris tomlin

God is a good good father! That is who he is, and absolutely nothing can change that. This is one highly treasured song with a lovely melody.

17. Love theory by Kirk Franklin

This song has been my husby’s ringtone for over a year now. He is a Kirk Franklin lover. It’s a beautiful song with that Kirk hip hop vibe that speaks about God’s love and the amazing ways he shows us his love.

16. Joy by carrington bane and joe L Barnes

The world never gave you your joy and so the world can never take it away from you. The God who gave you unmatched joy is saying, do not strive for things I have already done, even if you can’t see it yet just remember that I am there at the ending. I was also there at the beginning, and there is absolutely no need for melancholy.

15. God’s not done with you by Tauren wells

If you still have breathe in your Lungs, then permit me to inform you that God is not done with you. He is definitely still writing your beautiful story. You only have to trust him! That’s the message of this lovely, harmonious song.

Yep, it is wise to break the post at this juncture, if you would like to see my top 15 gospel songs of all time (subject to change with new releases and discoveries), then find your way to my next believer’s post. Good bye my darlings.
